The 35th Edition and event number three of the Corona Pro Surf Circuit 2018 – 2019 will crown the Men’s and Women’s tour Champ, and will grant a purse of over $45,000 in Prize Money for the men and the women’s on an equal gender pay format. The event will be held on October 11 - 13, 2019 at the iconic Middles Beach in the town of Isabela Puerto Rico. The event is sanctioned by the APSPR (Asociación Profesional Surfing Puerto Rico).

With over $45,500 purse prize, the finalists of each division will be rewarded with a $10,000 first place prize, $4,500 for 2nd places and $2,000 for 3rd places.

The current lead on the Men’s rankings for 2018 - 2019 is Rafael Pereira, 29, of Venezuela with 4,422 pts; followed by tour veteran Brian Toth, 34, of Isabela  at Domes on the second event of the three events circuit, while Brian placed a 3rd on the 1st leg and a second on the stop #2 at Domes last March 2019. Rafael has won one edition of the Corona Pro Surf Circuit. Rafael is one of the most successful Venezuelan surfer, Toth is a five-time champion of the Corona Pro Surf Circuit and have won 11 events. The top ranked surfers on the current APSPR ratings is packed with a field of local world class competitors like Alejandro Moreda, Darren Muschett, Mauricio Díaz, Ricardo Delgado, Joe Suárez, Ricardo Lucke, Rolando Montes, Dwight Pastrana among others, some of the top international talents are Joshua Burke, BBD, Logan Hayes, US, Magnum Martínez, VNZ,  Angelo Bonomelli, ITL, all expected to compete in the Middles event to contest the championship.

 On the Womens side of the draw, the current ratings leader is Alexis Engstrom, 27, of Rincón P.R., who placed 5TH  and a 2ND  on the prior two events earning 3,576 pts., in second place is María Kuzmovich, 34, of Puerto Rico, placed 5th  and a 3rd on the 1st and 2nd stop of the circuit earning a total of 3,197 points followed by Liza Cabán, 26 of Puerto Rico with 3,124 points. Other top ranked among local and international female surfers expected to compete are Cassidy McClain, 24, of New Jersey,  Chelsea Roett, 25, of Barbados, Roett claimed the win of the 2nd stop at Domes and is currently ranked 5th with 2,917 pts, Tiarah Blanco 22, of P.R., Brooke Young, 18, of San Diego, Ca., Havanna Cabrero, 19 of P.R., Sara McFarlane, 19, of Vero Beach Fl. and Quincy Davis, 24, of Montauk, New York.

Participants from eight countries has already signed in, Barbados, Costa Rica, Italia, Venezuela, Francia, EU, Colombia and Puerto Rico, the international participation is expected to increase.
